For whom, did you sing a lullaby?

Of such sweet and love desires

The melancholy has touched a tender heart of mine!

 

For whom did you sing,

a song of dreams?

As it took on lighting the night’s sky

By thousand wings, like clouds, of butterflies

Colorful, silently fluttering about

Liked a beautiful sight that can’t be described

It brought emotions, tears and passions

Liked those of young lovers’ dreams

filled up the stillness of the night

 

And your voice has risen high and free

It’s awaken the glory colors

of autumn leaves

How more beautiful could a dream  be?

 

But...I’m listening ...too

Of your singing in the night

Of a longing for a lasting dream

of a happier time, of YOU and I

we were there once, side by side

At the time, when you sang

 tears brimming my eyes!

 

But not tonight

not ever-more of such night!

that I could hear you sing again

It was only a dream

for you was like a butterfly

briefly, fluttering by

You’ve gone , leaving behind

Nothing but a memory

Of a lullaby, you sang in the night!

Người Hát Cho Ai Trong Đêm

 

Tiếng ai ru vang vọng đêm thâu

Mang theo mùa tình yêu tươi mát buổi đầu

Mật ngọt ngấm sâu trong từng câu hát

Làm tràn tim ta: hạnh phúc tưởng đã chìm sâu

 

Người mang mộng về với đêm, theo tiếng hát?

Mang theo đàn bướm hoa, đầy hương sắc

Chập chờn bay, ngàn cánh mỏng trong không gian

Gợi cho ta niềm cảm xúc vô vàng

Của tình yêu lứa đôi thuở đời còn xuân sắc

Người gọi thức một mùa thu mê hoặc

Vực dậy lá vàng đang ngủ trong rừng

Người đem giấc mơ đi vào tiếng nhạc

Thổi vào đời những ước mơ chung!

 

Nhưng tiếng hát buông lơi, chập chùng, lơ lửng...

mang theo vào sầu muộn không cùng

Người ngậm ngùi mơ ước

Nhớ ngày có nhau

Khi tình yêu nặng sâu

Vương vấn niềm đau qua nước mắt !

 

Đêm mộng rồi tan, mất hút!

Tiếng ca dần loãng xa

Bóng người như cánh bướm

Chỉ chập chờn thoáng qua

 

dư âm còn chút gì để lại?

 bập bềnh trôi...tiếng hát ...cứ trôi xa.
